Management Skill #3:
Everyday Activities
Adjusting Employee Time Cards
It happens all the time, an employee might accidentally forget to clock in or out for work. For obvious reasons, it is not recommended nor allowed, that employes be able to change their own time cards. So, it's up to you as manager to correct this when brought to your attention.
Here is How: Assuming you have been informed by the employee that a change needs to be made: 1. Go to the command line and type T for time cards. 2. When prompted enter a MANAGERS password. 3. In the lower left hand corner of the time card screen, select the desired employee from the drop down menu. 4. Adjust time as needed and press F12 to save your changes to the employees card. |

Approving On/Off Account Requests
Clerks at Nu-Way are not allowed to issue store credit to customers beyond the coupons that are available to them within the invoice. All additional credits must be added by a manager.
For example: If a customer is demanding a $15 credit on their account, the clerk would then call a manager for approval and assistance adding the credit to the customers account. Here is How: Once you have reviewed the customers account and determined that a credit is actually justified, then you can proceed with adding credit: 1. Bring up the customers account using the command line. 2. Once the customer is pulled up, type O in the command line. 3. Now enter your management password and a DETAILED explanation for your approval. 4. Enter the Value of the credit. (use a - sign in front of the value when removing credit) Note: If you have any question or doubt about a specific instance, be sure to ask an Owner. |

Removing an Invoice
Nu-Way Company policy currently states that only management, and designated staff can remove invoices from the CleanSuite system. This means that you will need to perform this action when required. Most commonly, invoices are removed from the system during the inventory process.
Example: When an aged inventory report reveals that order number (xxx) has either not been paid and/or not picked up within CleanSuite, you may want to remove the invoice from the system. Here is How: 1. Type in the invoice number into the command line. 2. Type RI to remove the invoice. 3. Type in a detailed explanation. Note: You can also clear out aged inventory which has been abandoned by the customer, by paying these invoices using a coupon in order to remove them from the aged inventory report. |
